Championship Show 2009

Our 38th Championship show, held under the rules and licence of the GCCF and open to all, was held on the 9th of May 2009 in the Caird Hall right in the centre of the city of Dundee. Photos of some of the cats at the show can be seen here. 2009's Best in Show was captured on video, see below. There are also some photos of the Best in Show cats.

One of the bigger shows in the Scottish show calendar, the show is held in two halls, the main one being used for the show pens and the smaller, side hall, used for the stalls. Situated in the heart of the city of Dundee, the show attracts hundreds of visitors every year.

With their own hall providing good space for stands, the show is popular with stallholders. If you would like a stall at next year's show, please contact our Hall Manager, Alan Woolley, details on the Committee page.

As usual, a great time was had by all. If you would like a copy of any of the photos, please email us.

Shows are expensive events to hold and sponsorship is greatly appreciated. For several years, the Nor' East of Scotland Cat Club has been pleased to be able to offer classes in the Royal Canin 'Scottish Challenge' non-pedigree stakes.

If you are interested in showing for the first time, you will find a link to a guide to showing below along with a very useful show checklist, written by Ruth Town, Teapot Burmese - all the documents are in pdf format. To enter next year's show, you will need a Schedule and an Entry Form. From January 2010, they will be available on the Cat Show 2010 page. The Cat Show 2010 page will be added in January. Entries from pedigrees and non-pedigrees are welcome. We want to see as many exhibitors as possible. If you're thinking about entering and have questions, read our guides and ask for advice by phone. The Show Managers' numbers can be found on the Committee page.

You will need Adobe Reader to open these files. If you don't already have Adobe Reader, download it for free by clicking on the Get Adobe Reader image below:
